I attribute my love of art to 1/2 price tuesday's at the museum

I grew up in  Los Angeles during the 60's and 70's. The architecture was rich in history and we'd often take trips to the museum where Monet would leave an everlasting impression on me. My mom knew the best of the beautiful old gardens located in Pasadena and Hollywood. Along church fences and tiny old brick houses climbed baby pink roses and huge fragrant white blooms. Nature was slowly weaving its way into my being. After high school I spent two years traveling where I lived and worked in Israel, Jordan and Egypt. The history fueled my interests with the many monuments. The people were as inviting and diverse as was the landscape. It was so beautiful and meaningful I couldn't help but feel that I was in the middle of something wonderful. Miles of manderin orange trees along the fields of intoxicating blue hyacinths was breathaking! In 1987 my love for design and nature began to take shape in a tiny flower shop in Oakland California. The venues available in the San Francisco Bay area combined with some really fantastic opportunities enabled me to intwine my love for art with a passion for all things living.

The name Collette has been a source of inspiration to draw from for me.  ( spelled Colette ) She was a French author 1873-1954. She painted for me a vivid picture of life lived through the world of art. Her spirit of individuality continues to move me and stirs images of romance. I'll change these photo's often so check in when you can.
